World Cup 2014: Sunday 6/22/14

Today is Team USA Sunday – World Cup 2014 action continues with the big badboy game of USA vs Portuglal!

And Damn I was up super late. And you would think I would be ahead on posts, but no, just not on that level yet – some day I will be.

Anyways, today’s 1st match-up has two cream style drinks going up again each other, which is kinda a happy coincidence to me.

We have the Belgium Biscuit vs the White Russian aka Belgium vs Russia!

I like both these drinks – in fact I think the Belgium Biscuit could be an eventual replacement for White Russians for all the women I know who like to drink White Russians.

So I pick the Biscuit – something new. yet familiar, and it just has a great taste.

Second match, interesting match-up of drink styles, with the Coctel Algeria and the Korean Lotus Flower. Many ingredient, vs few ingredients.

Here I think the Korean simplicity wins out, even though the Algerian Cockail has good power and flavor to boot. Maybe 3 or 4 more samples and I could change my mind, heh.

Last match of the day – GRAND DADDY of games…. USA vs Portugal!

Now, I’ve been to Portugal and absolutely loved my time there – especially the eat and drink culture, stylish and hot women (everyone seems to be in competition with each other), and old world atmosphere in many spots.

BUT this still doesn’t beat the good ‘ol USA – Team USA has a good chance of winning here with Pepe and Ronaldo out….even if those players were in the game, Team USA has the momentum on their side and Portugal with their backs against the wall.

And the drinks of course:

THIS. IS. AMERICA!!!

THIS. IS. AMERICA!!!

Portorinha! Don't forget the past!

Perfect Manhattan for the win. Go Team USA.
