Oh baby! World Cup 2014 Knock out action! Win or go FN home!
This is where teams will go all out (except Luis Suarez – he out) and I doubt there will be any sit back and relax, even if a team is 4 or more goals up. Never say die attitude today with teams.
So, since we are in a new round, that means NEW DRINKS!
For Brasilia, I made another twist on the Caipirinha, which I call the Sol de Brasilia!
Sol de Brasilia:
- 1/4 Fresh orange,
- 1 medium lime, cubed
- 2oz Cachaca
- 1/2oz Orange Liqueur
- 2 bar spoons sugar
Muddle orange and lime cubes with sugar. Add ice to glass and Alcohol – shake well, and pour all back into glass. Orange slice garnish – use a straw to drink for best results.
On the other side of the pitch is Chile! Who Brasil has beat like the last 4 times or so in World Cup action – and, well, we shall see if that happens today.
For the Chileans, I created the Chilean Icee! Yes, foreshadowing their role here if you catch my drift/pick.
For this drink I went strong with something that will be refreshing and smooth, with not too overproof of a drink.
- 1oz Banana Liqueur
- 1/2oz Island Punch Liqueur
- 1/2oz Fresh OJ
- 1/2oz White Rum
- Tonic Water
Shake all ingredients in cocktail shaker and pour over ice filled wine glass.
With all that, who do the drinks decide?
I go with CHILE! Chilean Icee for the win and move on.
Enjoy the 1st match.
